Dr Shakhovskoy is a senior staff specialist in Obstetric Medicine and General and Acute Medicine at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and senior lecturer at Griffith University and the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia. She has co-ordinated obstetric medicine training and accreditations in Australia and New Zealand since 2019 and has been on the SOMANZ Executive Council since 2022. She is the obstetric physician representative for the 2024 Royal Australasian College of Physicians Curriculum Renewal for both the Obstetric Medicine and the General and Acute Care Medicine curricula. With previous leadership roles in prevocational medical education, physician training and interprofessional education, she has experience with writing and implementing education and training strategies for health services. Dr Shakhovskoy’s active research interests are predominantly in interprofessional education, interprofessional collaborative practice and sleep disorders in pregnancy. |
