Dr. Claire Richards received her Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Newcastle in 2018 and her Honours degree from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2020. She recently completed her PhD at UTS, where she investigated preeclampsia. Her doctoral research focused on developing innovative cell models of early placental development and exploring stem cell-based therapies for preeclampsia.
Currently, Dr. Richards is an Associate Lecturer at UTS, where she continues to utilize advanced 3D cell models to study placental development and preeclampsia. In recognition of her contributions to the field, she was awarded the New Investigator Award by the Australia and New Zealand Placenta Research Association at the Society of Reproductive Biology Annual Scientific Meeting in 2022. Additionally, she is a 2024 FameLab Australia Finalist. |
