Professor Richard Gibbs

Professor Richard Gibbs is a vascular surgeon based at Imperial College NHS Trust and Cleveland Clinic London. His principal clinical interest is aortic intervention, and he set up and runs the UK’s first Type B aortic dissection clinic. He is the vascular lead for the London complex cardiovascular network. His major research interest is in aortic dissection, and he collaborates closely with the department of Engineering at Imperial College London to investigate the facility of computational fluid dynamics and 4D MRI in predicting outcomes in aortic dissection.
