
Dr Karin Lust:
Assoc. Prof Karin Lust is the Director of Internal Medicine and Aged Care, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH). She is an Obstetric Physician and Specialist in Internal Medicine. Her clinical work revolves around providing optimal care to women with medical conditions in pregnancy. She is actively involved in education and research and currently involved in research in cardiac disease and vaccinations in pregnancy. She has been involved in the development of numerous guidelines related to medical disorders in pregnancy to improve and standardise care. Karin is part of the multidisciplinary team at RBWH who aim is to provide excellence in women’s and newborn health care through collaborative patient and family centred care, education and training, research, partnerships and innovation.
Dr Nusrat Homaira:
Dr Nusrat Homaira is a medically trained paediatric respiratory epidemiologist with almost two decades of working experience in prevention and control of respiratory syncytial viral (RSV) disease in low, middle- and high-income settings. Her work has played a pivotal role around policy advocacy for RSV prevention in Australia and globally. Her current work focuses on modifying the intersection between acute and chronic respiratory conditions in children.
Noor Al-Adhami:
Noor Al-Adhami is a consultant pharmacist specialising in obstetrics and neonatology, with a passion for improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes. With over 10 years’ experience as clinical pharmacist, Noor collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based medication management for mothers and newborns. In addition to her clinical role, Noor frequently collaborates with other health districts, hospitals and health care providers to implement best practices. Noor has actively contributed to the development of pharmacy residency and advanced educational frameworks aimed at fostering and improving knowledge and training for the next generation of pharmacists in obstetric and neonatal care.
